Chances are, you have never made a professional album or portfolio before. You don’t quite know what to expect and you have a lot of questions... you’ve come to the right place.
Step One The first step to building an album is setting up a meeting with us to view all of the album options and ask any questions that you may have. You can set up a meeting with our album designer by calling the studio at (415) 255-7478 x87. At the studio, you will decide which album best suits you and receive instructions and advice on selecting photos for your album. At this time you will select the textiles for the album and go over any added features and upgrades available to you. You can view a selection of our albums, proof items, parent books, and other customized products such as DVD slideshows and wrapped canvases here. This gallery also includes some sample wedding album layouts. Step Two The second step is choosing the images that you want to be included in the album. After you’ve chosen what type of album you want, along with formatting and upgrades, the album designer will let you know how many photos you may choose to include. Orange Photography makes albums for two types of clients. Both clients for whom we have taken photographs for and those who are bringing photographs taken from another source.
The layout will begin once the photos are selected. Your first round of proofs will be available to view online within two weeks. This step varies with each album. Some of our custom albums may go through multiple rounds of layouts. Once the design process is completed, the prints are made and the album is sent to one of our many vendors. The final album is delivered to our studio in San Francisco and shipped via UPS at cost, if you are outside of the Bay Area. How long does the process take? The process of building any of our albums generally takes between 2-4 months. We can provide a quicker turnaround time if necessary; please don’t hesitate to ask! How much will it cost? Considerable discounts are given on albums featuring photographs captured by our studio. Any other questions? If you have already consulted our album designer and have questions about using the site, please see the Getting Started page. You may also find additional answers on our FAQ page. To speak with our designer regarding your book or album, feel free to call the studio at (415) 255-7478 x87. We look forward to working with you!
