Staff Photographer/Production Support
The Staff Photographer must have prior experience shooting and assisting for a variety of events, both corporate and retail. We are looking for a photographer who can meet our high standards for being a personable representative of the studio and can work both independently and with others to deliver the highest quality images quickly through our established workflow. This position is commission based for a trial period with the opportunity of becoming a salaried employee.Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience photographing weddings, portraits, corporate, & events
- Proficiency with DSLR camera systems and flashes and experience assisting
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Lightroom and/or Aperture
- Strong references from industry colleagues/vendors
- Have own transportation, on call availability, and able to work weekends and evenings
Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide top-notch customer service to clients from pre-sales to post-shoot
- Actively post entries on the Orange blog and social media
- Actively submit work to contests and photo blogs (for weddings and other events)
- Manage professional training development through online classes/test shoots/second shooting
- Maintain an up-to-date portfolio and be proactive in creating new portfolios to share with clients
Studio Intern
The studio intern is a versatile player in the Orange studio. In conjunction with in-studio duties, they may also be a core participant in the various types of shoots we as a studio do. This is a great opportunity for hands-on assisting, studio workflow experience, and playing an integral part in a team environment. This is a part-time position.Qualifications:
- Interest in developing skills as a photographer in weddings, portraits, corporate, & events
- Familiarity with DSLR camera systems and flashes and experience assisting
- Familiarity with studio lighting
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture, Bridge, Illustrator
- Have own transportation, on call availability, and ability to work weekends and evenings
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Very tech-savvy, fast learner, & self-starter
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist/ learn to shoot at weddings & events
- Assist/learn to shoot for photo stations and onsite printing
- Set up and break down Open Air Photobooth
- Set up lighting for portraits/green screen/photo stations
- Edit/color-correction/retouch in Photoshop and manage assets in Lightroom
- General studio administration, burning discs, answering/directing calls
- Blogging
Freelance Photographers
We represent a number of freelance photographers nationwide, providing assignments in event photography, portraits/headshots, and PR for Fortune 1000 companies.Qualifications:
- 2+ years professional photography experience
- Must have own equipment and ability to capture, process, caption, and transmit digital images
- Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom/Aperture
- Dedicated access to Internet (cable modem, DSL, or faster)
- DSRL camera preferred for PR and editorial assignments
- Have own transportation, on call availability, and ability to work weekends and evenings
