Team

"We started Orange Photography with the idea that you can do more together than individually. Our corporate background experience is what really makes our team stand apart from other studios. On the flip side, when we left the corporate world to start Orange, we brought our intuitive passion for art. Our creative vision is the product of living our dream."  -Jack Huynh

When working with the Orange Team you work with a studio living their passion every day. Find out who we are!

Jack Huynh | Co-Founder

Though Jack received his degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and rode the dot-com wave while working for companies like MarchFirst and Razorfish as technical lead, his natural talent as a photographer and his passion to own his own business became the catalyst for leaving the corporate world to live his dream and start Orange Photography. "Like photography, I see our business as a vehicle to benefit others while also realizing my full potential."

Jack leads the weddings, portraiture, and commercial side of Orange.  His diverse clientele keeps his creativity & perspective fresh and on the forefront of the photography world .  Over the past decade his photography style has garnered national acclaim from clients and peers alike. He's known for capturing the true essence of his subjects, which is amply demonstrated by his diverse body of work.

Gene X Hwang | Co-Founder

Chances are you've worked, mingled, or networked with Gene somewhere, at some point.  Gene's photography style as well as his social presence has really propelled the studio forward on so many levels. His passion for being on the forefront of social responsibility and his actions to have Orange be the first certified green studio in San Francisco is a reflection of the core values Orange was created from.

Gene heads the corporate and event department at Orange.  His background working with large corporate clients and marketing communications during the initial dot-com boom in the late 90s has given him an insiders understanding of his clients today.  Considered one of San Francisco's premier event photographers for his unique style and talent for capturing events, Gene is one of the most sought after photographers in the city.   When asked what he thinks about running a company in San Francisco he explains, "It's a great market with lots of talent, so it pushes you to stay creative and focused."

Kevin Lewis | Director of Client Services

Kevin runs our account services and is the corporate/events liaison for the studio.  He offers recommendations and photography consultation with expertise in pre-event planning & support and post-event fulfillment & image distribution.  Kevin knew from a young age he wanted to work in marketing, and most important to him was having a career where he could use creative problem solving to deliver something important to people.

Before joining the Orange Team, Kevin worked in high-tech marketing support roles and in the hospitality industry for five years -providing luxury-oriented expereinces. He came to Orange because of a lifelong interest in photography and a desire to have a career marketing something that appealed to his personal creative passions. "I get to think all day how to offer our creative services to a wide variety of people and industries. The diversity of our value propositions allows me to shed light on many different types of products and services. At the end of the day, it's all about making events, people, and products look good. I find that fulfilling."

Rebecca Hindsdale | Account Manager

Rebecca is a customer service master, with over 15 years of experience in pleasing both clients and employers. She comes to Orange photography with extensive knowledge of photography, both behind the lens and behind the scenes, demonstrating through knowledge in technical lab fulfillment, file preparation, color correction and printing protocols. She is also extremely detail-oriented and works comfortably in a fast-paced, high-expectations work environment.

Natalie Jenks | Studio Manager

Natalie's responsible for getting our clients where they need to be, while also holding down the fort at the studio. For organizations, she handles much of the post-production and delivery of event images to our clients, as well as managing production workflow. For individuals, she is responsible for consulting our wedding and portriature clients about their gallery questions and product purchases.

Natalie began working at Orange in our production department as an intern and was quickly promoted to Studio Manager. Her love of photography and background in retail/customer service was the perfect fit for the job. When asked how she feels about working for Orange, she enthusitasticly replied, "I really enjoy working with something I'm passionate about on a daily basis, feeling valued for my contributions, and being surrounded by quality people."

Vicki Suh | Senior Client Satisfaction Associate

As Senior Client Satisfaction Associate, Vicki handles much of the behind-the-scenes work in the studio focused on making our clients ensure that you- and the rest of our clients- are look good and that you get the pictures you need when you need them. From editing headshots, to compiling galleries, to making sure assets are delivered on time, Vicki’s wide range of responsibilities ensure complete client satisfaction with the final product.

As a Studio Art major at UC Irvine, Vicki began doing photography as a hobby and soon decided she wanted to become a photographer. However she realized that her strengths and passion are greatest in post production. Vicki joined Orange in 2009 as an intern and has grown along with the studio through a period of massive growth and now enthusiastically looks forward to seeing Orange evolve in the future. “Not many people can say that they love going to work everyday,” said Vicki, “but I am lucky to say that I do.”

Andria Lo | Staff Photographer

Andria is really the quality assurance, creative backbone of Orange. She consults both our organization and individual clients to create custom products that showcases their photography. Working with marketing teams and art directors, she handles much of the post-production of our photography deliverables. She's also an event & wedding photographer as well. Her love of storytelling through photography spills over into her eye for consulting and giving direction to our clients.

Before working with Orange, she received an art degree from UC Berkeley and worked in web design and e-commerce. She came to Orange because much of Orange's philosophies are extensions of her own life philosophies, and she loves incoporating her passion for photography into her everyday work life. "I enjoy that I can make connections with other people and share those moments through the photos. I love delighting (or provoking) people with the images."

She's also currently the Photo Director for Hyphen Magazine.

I especially love being part of an organization that has values and is socially responsible.”
